Alton Cassidy
March 10, 1938 - May 17, 2025

Passed away peacefully at Jessica's House Hospice, Exeter on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the age of 87. Loving husband of Shirley (Shepherd) Cassidy for 60 years. Cherished father of Tim Cassidy (Isabel) and Cindy Cook (Sam).  Adored poppa of Matthew, Mark, Thomas, Sarah, and Hannah. Dear brother of Melbourne Cassidy (June) and Sandra Jennings (late Glendon).  Dear brother-in-law of Cheryl Cassidy, Murray Shepherd (Marg), Douglas Shepherd, Bev Ault (Mike) and Joan Larmour (Allen).  He was predeceased by his parents Gerald and Lulu Cassidy (nee McIntosh), his brother Garry Cassidy, his infant sister Leona Cassidy and his siblings-in-law, Ardith Onland (George), Mac Shepherd, and Gord Shepherd. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Arrangements

A Celebration of Alton's life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Morrisburg on Sunday, June 15th from 1-4 p.m. Donations to Jessica's House Hospice would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.  If you are making your donation online or by cheque directly to the charity, please include the following note with your gift "please notify the family".
