Obituary

Mrs. Bernice Elizabeth Prosser

With hearts full of gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Bernice Elizabeth Prosser (née Davidson), who was born on December 25, 1944, and passed away peacefully in hospital with her loving family by her side on September 5, 2026. Throughout her long battle with cancer and other illnesses, Bernice showed incredible strength, grace, courage, and dignity. She faced every challenge with a strength that inspired everyone who knew and loved her. Bernice is predeceased by her parents, Gordon Davidson and Dorothy (Wyatt); her son, Donnie Prosser; her siblings, Helen Fleming, John Davidson, Sylvia Marchand, Mary-Jean Brown, Donald Davidson, and Alice Beckstead; and her stepbrother, Lyle Saunders. Left to mourn her passing and cherish her loving memory is her devoted husband of 52 years, Carl; her sons, Danny and Brian (Jennifer); and her beloved grandchildren, Haley (Wes), Hannah, Taylor, Ava, Gavin, Piper, Kacey, and Jonah. She will be deeply missed by her loving sister, Betty Higginson (James), along with her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Bernice lived a life filled with love, family, laughter, and the simple things that brought her joy. In lieu of sadness, her family asks that you celebrate Bernice's remarkable life by volunteering in your community, watching Wheel of Fortune, doing a crossword puzzle, donating to the Palliative Care Unit at Brockville General Hospital, or simply hugging your loved ones a little tighter today.
