Peacefully at his home on Friday, January 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Bill "Cobe" Walter of Cardinal at the age of 73. Dearly beloved husband of Debra Walter (nee Menard). Loving father of Nikki and her husband Bobby Sayeau and Michelle and her husband Jeff Allen. Cherished poppa of Kadena Goupil (Chris), Hayden Sayeau (Megan) Barrett Robertson (Danika) Bryson Allen and Clay Allen (Lia), great poppa of Marcus. Dear brother of Judy Summerfield, Betty Ann Steele, Diana Walter and Don Walter (Dave), Jay Kinsman, his mother-in-law Joyce Menard, his in-laws Brenda and Butch Bass, Roger and Sandra Menard. Predeceased by his son Joseph John, his parents Coburn and Betty Walter (nee Farmer), brothers Allan and Skip, father-in-law Raymond Menard, brothers-in-law Toby Summerfield and Lenny Steele and his nephew Jason Summerfield. Sadly, missed by his 2 best friends Myles and Dale and by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Arrangements

Friends may call at the Marsden McLaughlin Funeral Home in Cardinal, on Wednesday from 6-9pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 15, at 11am. A reception will follow the service at the R.C.L. Br 105 Cardinal. Donations to the Sherwood Park Manor or Sacred Heart Church would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
