Donald "Ab" Barkley

Passed away at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness on Saturday, June 3, 2023, Donald "Ab" Barkley of Chesterville, age 60.  Loving husband of Shirley Barkley (nee Giberson).  Loving father of Taylor Barkley of Ottawa, Calyssa Barkley of Ottawa and MacKenzie Barkley of Chesterville.  Dear brother of Mike Barkley (late Linda) of Ompah, Penny Wheeler (Ron) of Chesterville, Doug Barkley (Kelly) of Cornwall and Cecil Barkley of Ingleside.  He was predeceased by his parents Beverly and Patricia Barkley (nee Towsley).  He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

Funeral Arrangements

A Celebration of Ab's life will be held at the Nelson Laprade Centre in Chesterville on Saturday, June 17th from 1-4 p.m.  Donations to Winchester Hospital, the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or CHEO would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.  Online condolences may be made at marsdenmclaughlin.com.  If you are making your donation online or by cheque directly to the charity, please include the following note with your gift "please notify the family".
