Obituary

Doreen Morrow

Passed away peacefully at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Friday, October 2, 2026, Doreen Morrow (nee Kenney) of Morrisburg, age 91.  Beloved wife of the late Russell Morrow.  Loving mother of Rick Morrow (Roseanne) of Inkerman and David Morrow (Johanne Blansche) of Guelph.  Dear sister of Jean Greenough (late Lloyd) of Iroquois, Barbara Fortin of Ottawa, Gail Casselman (late Doug) of Williamsburg and Bob Kenney (Barbara) of Kingston.  Dear mother-in-law of Cindy Shaver of Iroquois.  Doreen will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Jessica Morrow (Adam Crane), Liam Morrow (Kennedi Gervais), Caroline Morrow, Katherine Morrow (Brendan Smith), Elizabeth Kirschner (Alex), Laura Casselman, Sarah Casselman (Nigel Vidler) and her great-grandchildren George, Arthur, Lyla, Annie, Adrian, Elise and Nora.  She was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Betty Kenney (nee Cumming) and her son Steven Morrow.  She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Doreen spent the last several years as a resident of Morrisburg, following a long and full life in Williamsburg where she worked as a teller at the Bank of Montreal. Despite significant vision impairment, she remained an avid reader, often finishing two books a week. She loved to travel and cherished her trips to Europe—especially Ireland—as well as the many long range bus tours she enjoyed over the years.

Doreen carried her good nature and bright smile wherever she went. She treasured time with family and friends and delighted in any chance to enjoy a meal out at a restaurant. Her warmth, humour, and gentle presence made her a joy to be around, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
