He spent time at the Aubrey family farm in Metcalfe, Ont where they raised beef cattle for the butcher shop and raised horses for use with the beef delivery buggies. At a young age, Eugene played hockey while attending St Pats School/College. Using his excellent carpentry skills, Eugene built two family homes, and he shared his love of carpentry with his grandchildren in his wood shop. Throughout his life, Eugene consistently demonstrated strong loyalty, love, kindness, honesty, integrity, respect, courage and perseverance, being a dedicated role model for his family.
