Gordon Cooper

Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 10, 2026, Gordon Cooper of Mariatown, in his 99th year.  Loving husband of Rita Cooper (nee Kerkhof) for over 60 years.  Loving father of Rob Cooper (Susan) of Belleville, Jim Cooper (Janet) of Embrun and Debbie Hodgson (Lyall) of Lasalle.  Gordon will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Stephanie Constable (Saj Manoharan), Dylan Cooper, Kaitlyn Hodgson (Jon Nguyen), Lindsay Hodgson, Megan Cooper and Mackenzie Cooper.  He was predeceased by his parents Andy and Minnie Rose Cooper (nee Ault) and his brother Harold Cooper.  He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Funeral Arrangements

Friends may call at the Marsden McLaughlin Funeral Home in Williamsburg on Saturday, October 3rd from 10 a.m. until time of the memorial service at 11 a.m.  A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion in Iroquois.  Interment of cremated remains will be at Spruce Haven Cemetery in Brinston.   Donations to Dundas County Hospice or the Dundas Manor Nursing Home would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.  If you are making your donation online or by cheque directly to the charity, please include the following note with your gift "please notify the family".
