Henrietta Jean "Dolly" McDonald

Passed away peacefully at the Garden Villa in Chesterville on Friday, May 24, 2024, Dolly McDonald, formerly of Perth, age 87. Beloved spouse of the late Alexa McDonald.  Loving mother of Carl H. Dillabough (Elizabeth Smalldridge) of Winchester.  Dear sister of Jane Sinclair of Kingston and Bob McDonald of Montreal. Dear mother-in-law of Gordon Beaupre of Lunenburg.  She was predeceased by her daughters Jessica Beaupre and Mary Scott, her parents Fred A. and Evelyn McDonald (nee Burns), her sister Mary Elizabeth Mackie and her brother John McDonald. Dolly will be fondly remembered by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, along with her many friends in Perth, Ontario, New Brunswick, and Western Canada.
The McDonald family will be forever grateful to the staff at Garden Villa, Palliative Care Nurse Amanda, nurses Marjorie, Nancy, Sherry, and Kim, PSW's Jill, Danny, and Tanya for their unwavering care and compassion.  A special thank you to Dolly's dear friends Gerda Hogeveen and Hilda Vandekamp at Garden Villa, for their loving friendship and comfort.

Funeral Arrangements

A Celebration of Dolly's life will be held at a later date.  Interment of her cremated remains will be in the McDonald family plot at the Ormond Cemetery.  Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
