Hugh Barker

Hugh passed away peacefully on October 29th, surrounded by his children. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud Papa, and the heart of a family who loved him completely.  The cherished son of the late Ron and Marion Barker, and brother to Ron Jr., Hugh was the loving husband of the late Inga Barker and father to Joe, Tiffany, Lisa, Ashley, and Amy..  Inga was the love of Hugh’s life. Though he missed her dearly, his love for her never faded. Together, they built a family that remained his greatest source of pride and happiness. More than anything in this world, Hugh cherished his children and grandchildren. They were his everything. He took immense pride in each of his children, and nothing made him happier than seeing the lives and families they built.

Hugh was the proudest Papa to Ryan, Jake, Grayson, Beckett, Anika, Vivian, Sunniva, Charlie, Owen, Ellis, Theo, and Lily. Each of them held a special place in his heart. Being their Papa brought him immeasurable joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them. His family was his whole world, and he made sure they knew it. Hugh had a way of making his love known. That love remained constant until his final day. Even in his weakest moments, when his strength was fading, he made sure his children heard the words that mattered most: “I love you.”  He will be deeply missed and forever loved. There is comfort in knowing he is finally reunited with the love of his life, Inga.

Hugh’s life will be celebrated privately, surrounded by his family and closest friends.
