Obituary

Isabel Sarah Smith

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16.
Our precious Mom, Grammy and 'Grammy the Great', Isabel Sarah Smith (nee Ward) passed peacefully into the loving arms of her Saviour on Monday, January 15.  She was the beloved wife of the late Rev. Howard Smith and loving mother of Stephen, Paul (Susan), Susan Kittle (Neil) and Mark (Nayo).  She was predeceased by their son Peter. She was much-loved Grammy to Melissa (Andrew) Sharpe, Leah Ann (Sheldon) Myers, Julia, Meagan (Allan) Autry, Dana (Jim) Luckey, Leo and Sophia, and 'Grammy the Great' to Evan, Logan, Adalyn, Corbin, Harlynn, Maren, Rowan, Oliver and Hudson.  She was also predeceased by her dear friend Carl Docksteader.  She was the daughter of the late Alton and Ina Ward of Black Cape, Quebec. She was predeceased by siblings Edgar, Grace, Arnold, Herb, Byron, Don, Ken, Opal, Joan, Melvin and Margaret, and is survived by her sister Ella Cross, and many nieces, nephews and their families, all of whom were very dear to her.
We would like to express our deep gratitude to all who provided exceptional nursing care and loving care to Mom: the Home and Community Care team administrators, nurses Zena and Jamie who provided care at home, nurse practitioner Melanie with RCPT, and to the nurses and staff at Cornwall Hospice.
