Janna "Janet" Annette Cousins

Janet Cousins of Brockville, at the age of 78 years, passed peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

Dearly beloved wife of Grant Cousins. Loving mother of Katherine Cousins of Brockville, Karen Cousins (Stephen Gilchrist) of Carleton Place and Stephen Cousins (Sharon) of Ottawa. Dear sister of Harry Hofstede (Trudy), Joe Hofstede (Anne), Sid Hofstede (Janet) and Irene Weening (Adrian). Predeceased by her parents Egbert and Jantje Hofstede, her brother Joe Hofstede and her sister-in-law Trudy Hofstede.

Sadly missed by her granddaughter Brianna Gilchrist (Jared). Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements

A funeral service will be held at the Bethel Christian Reform Church in Brockville on Friday, September 11 at 11 am. Followed by a reception in the hall. Donations to the Brockville General Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
