Obituary

Jim Jamieson

Passed away peacefully at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, Jim Jamieson of Morrisburg, age 75.  Loving husband of Candace Jamieson (nee Taman) for 51 years.  Dear brother of John Fyke of Eastons Corners, Vivian Bylsma (Peter) of Morrisburg and Carol Armstrong (Bob) of Morrisburg.  Dear brother-in-law of Joan Tillett of England and Kathy Fyke of Perth.  He was predeceased by his parents George and Violet Jamieson (nee Tillett) and his brothers Robin Tillett and Alan Fyke.  He is also survived by nieces and nephews.  Jim was proud to be a cancer survivor for over 39 years.  Sadly, it was Pancreatic Cancer that brought him down but he fought it to the very end.  He was happiest playing hockey, golf, darts, bowling and in his younger days, a lob ball pitcher.  If he wasn't playing sports he would be watching them especially his beloved Detroit Red Wings.  He worked 31 years at Air Canada Ottawa and loved almost every minute of it. He loved to travel, he loved to cook and he loved to putter around his yard or in his workshop.  He was also the best doggy daddy any pup could ask for and he was an amazing husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.
