John Vanderwerf

After 71 one years on this earth, Our Heavenly Father called John Vanderwerf home on Thursday March 5, 2026. He is now at peace and singing with the Angels.  Loving husband of Donna Vanderwerf (nee O'Connor) for 50 years. Loving father of Lacey VanSchyndel (Charles Winter) and Brandon Vanderwerf (Lori). Dear brother of Corrie Stone (Mike), Adrienne Rapp (Jim), Barbara Vanderwerf and Mary Anne Guilbert (Paul). John will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren John, Nick (Brilyn), Kaitlyn, Leanne (Dylan), Isaac, Clara, Emmett, Jack, Vera, Ruby and his great-grandchildren Reese. He was predeceased by his parents Paul John and Clara Vanderwerf (nee Heemskerk)
He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Funeral Arrangements

Friends may call at the Harmony Community Church on Saturday March 21st from 10 am until the Memorial Service begins at 11:30 a.m.  A reception will follow.  Donations to Harmony Community Church would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.  Online condolences may be made at marsdenmclaughlin.com.
