Judy Morris (nee Sorrell)
We are deeply saddened to announce that Judy Morris (nee Sorrell) passed away on January 13, 2026, at the age of 85, surrounded by her loving family at the Brockville General Hospital. Judy leaves behind her son Todd Morris (Trish), daughter Pam Morris, granddaughter Fahren, brother Steve Sorrell (Donna) and sister-in-law/dear friend Carolyn Sorrell, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Judy is predeceased by her beloved husband Walt Morris, mother Catherine Sorrell Hogan, brother Jim Sorrell, sister Joanne Hogan and Father Levi Sorrell. Nothing was more important to Judy than family and she loved them all. Among her dearest joys was her granddaughter, Fahren. Their bond was so special: they spent countless hours together, be it Judy cheering at all of her hockey or soccer games, sharing their love of swimming, and just caring so deeply for Fahren in every way. Her loss hurts like no other, but we will focus on all of the wonderful memories of our dearly missed Judy and be thankful we were all so lucky to have had her in our lives. The family would like to thank the Nurses, support staff, and Doctors from both the Brockville General Hospital and Kingston General for their kind and compassionate care. Words alone do not convey the gratitude we have to family and friends who provided comfort and support in her final days. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 21st., from 11am to 1p.m. at the Marsden McLaughlin Funeral Home, 2065 Dundas Street, Cardinal. Whether you are family, a friend, knew Judy a little or a lot all are welcome to please join us for a luncheon and a celebration of Judy's life at the Cardinal legion from 1:30-3:30pm. In honouring Judy's life and the love, she shared, donations in lieu of flowers in memory of a special little girl who held a place in Judy's heart would be greatly appreciated. Contributions will support a fund set up in Kendyl's honour, which assists families facing financial struggles while their child battles cancer at CHEO. These gestures will help celebrate Judy's legacy of love and compassion, extending support to those in need during difficult times. https://cheofoundation.donordrive.com/campaigns/The-Kendyl-Smith-Trimm-Caring-for-Kids-CHEO-Fundraiser-
If you are making your donation online or cheque directly to the charity, please include the following note with your gift "please notify the family." Online condolences may be made at marsdenmclaughlin.com
