Lillian Austin (Whittaker)

March 1,1940- October 27,2025

Passed away in Winnipeg MB at the age of 85. Lillian led an adventurous life , first teaching school in Germany on the bases, then later in Mississauga Ont. In her 40s, she went back to university and became an RN, which she loved. A lifelong artist, she leaves many amazing pieces of her work behind for people to remember her by. Predeceased by her parents Bert  & Frances Whittaker of Chesterville Ont , her brothers, Elwood, and Dwight.

She leaves behind her sister, Sheila, daughters, Mary and Melanie Austin, grandchildren Nancy, Liam and Sara , and great grandchildren Riley, Gary, Charlie and Jennie.

A graveside service will be held at Maple Ridge Cemetery, Chesterville, on Saturday, November 22, at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to her favourite animal charity, where she was a daily visitor, the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter or the Heart & Stroke.
