Linda Johnston (nee Hummel)

It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that the family of Linda Johnston announce her peaceful passing at the Dundas Manor Nursing Home in Winchester on Tuesday April 7th, 2026.  She was 80 years old.
Linda was the beloved wife of Lorne Johnston for 57 years, loving mother of Janice Preston (Shaun), April Herfkens (Mike) and grandmother of Kyle Herfkens (Hailey). She is survived by her sister Doris Beckstead (Nathan), her sister-in-law Elsie Hummel, her sister-in-law Joyce Edgerton and her brother-in-law Lee Johnston.  She was predeceased by her parents Ken and Loressa Hummel (nee Hanna), her brothers Rae and Dalton Hummel, her sister-in-law Marion Johnston and her brothers-in-law Glenn Johnston (Mardie) and Garnet Edgerton.   She is also survived by all her loving nieces and nephews and amazing friends.
The family would like to thank all the wonderful caring staff at Dundas Manor for taking such good care of Linda.

Funeral Arrangements

There will be no visitation or funeral service.  Donations to the O.S.P.C.A would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
