Marion Porteous

Passed away peacefully at the Dundas Manor Nursing Home on Monday, February 17, 2025, Marion Porteous (nee LaPorte) of Winchester, age 94.  Beloved wife of the late Neil Porteous.  Loving mother of Jim Porteous (Diane) of Barrie, Susan Chamberlain (David) of Gloucester and Allan Porteous (Colleen) of Winchester.  Dear sister of Wayne LaPorte (late Maureen) of Ottawa and Reg LaPorte (Joyce) of Morrisburg.  Marion will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Marina Hosick (Drew), Alanna Turcotte (Patrick), Gina Jaquemet (Tim), Amy Hery (Pierre), Jason Lauzon (Gillianne) and her great-grandchildren Aiden, Abigail, Amelia, Evelyn, Luke, Andrew, Harvey, Brady, Neil, Brynlee, Claire, Benjamin, Brayah and Camden.  She was predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Hilda LaPorte (nee Ennis), her son Lloyd and her granddaughter Laura Brant.  She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Funeral Arrangements

Friends may call at the Marsden McLaughlin Funeral Home in Chesterville on Friday, February 21st from 9:30 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m.  Interment will be at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville.  A reception will follow at the Cedar Glen Golf Course.  Donations to the Dundas Manor Nursing Home would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
