Richard James Dillabough
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard James Dillabough, who left us peacefully on October 2, 2026, at Bruyère Health Saint-Vincent Hospital. He was 68 years old and residing in Chesterville. Born on December 23, 1957, in Picton, Richard was the son of Raymona Lavallee of Ottawa and the late Gerald Dillabough. Richard's greatest joy was his family. He leaves behind his beloved daughters, Pamela (Troy) Carriere and Carrie Dillabough, both of Medicine Hat, Alberta. He was a proud and devoted "Papa" to his three grandchildren: Khia Carriere (Ty Elder) of Calgary, Alberta; Breya Carriere of Medicine Hat; and Mace Carriere of Calgary, Alberta.
He shared a lifetime of memories with his brother and best friend, Bob (Mary) Dillabough of Chesterville, and will be deeply missed by his nephews John and Cory Dillabough of Chesterville and his niece Sara (Aaron) Boutet of Sudbury. Richard also leaves behind his siblings, Bev (Barry) Kemp of Hebbville, Nova Scotia; Michele Dillabough, Barbara Dillabough, and David Dillabough, all of Ottawa; and Suzanne Dillabough of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia as well as several dear nieces and nephews.
Beyond his family, Richard's heart extended to his workplace. His colleagues at Syn Agri were much more than coworkers to him; they were a second family. Richard's presence will be profoundly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Bye for now.
