Robert Burchell

It's with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Robert, peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Robert Sloan Burchell of Cardinal, at the age of 68. Dearly beloved husband of Janice Burchell (nee Huck). Loving stepdad to Jennifer (Joshua) Couture, Erin (Richard) Roy, Laura (Blessing) King.  Dear brother of George (Nina) of RR5 Spencerville, Lynda (Brian) Gunnell of Russell, Laura (John) Wilson of Maitland, Lisa (Dale) McTaggart of Plainfield and Lana (Chris) Haw of Stirling. Grandpa to Karly, William, Gabby, Colby, Courtney, Elizabeth, Paul, and Madeline and great grandpa to Samuel. Predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Dorothy (nee Sloan) Burchell and his first wife the late Sandra (Ault) Burchell.  Sadly, missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He will be greatly missed and will remain in our hearts.

Funeral Arrangements

Friends may call at the Marsden McLaughlin Funeral Home in Cardinal on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8pm.  Funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 23 at 11am.  Donations to the Winchester Hospital Dialysis Unit or the BGH Palliative Care Unit would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.  Online condolences may be made at marsdenmclaughlin.com.
