Vaughn Burd

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the age of 86. Vaughn Burd (nee Barkley) of Berwick was the loving wife of Reg Burd for 67 years.  Devoted mother of Steven Burd (Bonnie) of Long Sault and Lorie Henderson (Blake) of Avonmore. Vaughn will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Derek (Nikki), Shelby (Jason), Brandon (Lana) and Bailey as well as her great-grandchildren Teagon, Kaeden, Harper, Berkley, Callie, Bayne, Landyn, Brock and Brody.  She was predeceased by her parents Stanley and Blanche Barkley (nee Froats), her sister Helen McIntosh and her brothers Emerson and Dalton Barkley.  She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Funeral Arrangements

A Celebration of Vaughn's life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Finch on Saturday, November 15th from 1-4 p.m.  Donations to the Winchester District Memorial Hospital would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.  If you are making your donation online or by cheque directly to the charity, please include the following note with your gift "please notify the family".
