Obituary

Vincent Blom

Vince Blom passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 31, 2026, in Toronto, Ontario. He was 89.

Born in Rotterdam, Netherlands, he was one of thirteen children of Theodore and Anna Blom (nee Rosenburg). He is survived by his wife, Mary Blom (nee Thelander), his four children, Robyn (Matthew), Chantelle (late Brian), Theo (Christian), and Michelle (Yaser), and his five grandchildren, Mya, Grace, Talia, Emma, and Idris.

Vince immigrated to Canada with his family after the Second World War and settled in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. As a young adult, he worked his way east, living and working in Toronto and London before eventually moving to Winchester in the 1970s where he owned and operated the 4 Corner Store for over thirty years.

Vince was a gentle and kind soul through to his last breath. He was very much loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” - 2 Timothy 4:7
