Walter Zill
August 20, 1932 - September 1, 2026

Passed away in Morrisburg on September 1st, 2026 at the age of 94. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Siglinde "Linda", who passed away in 2020.

Walter left the ruins of post-war Germany to come to Canada in the 1950s to build a new future. He started as a labourer cleaning bricks in the bustling city of Montreal and eventually he returned to school to become a chartered customs broker. With his diploma in hand he started a successful new company, and a family. When it came time to retire, Walter and Linda moved to Ingleside where they built their dream home. They lived there for 30 years, fully enjoying their garden, and travelling often.

Gifted with a dry sense of humor, Walter still managed to make a few jokes during his last few weeks. He was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his three children: Gerald (Eva), Thomas, and Gabi (Michael), his eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
